The TruCare Painters of New York were hired by a local DirectBuy to brighten up their children's play area. It was a fun interior painting project with bright colors. The interior commercial painting project took several days to complete due to the many large holes in the walls from all the previous "fun" kids had in the room.
The high-reflective colors - otherwise known as deep base colors - like the red, blue, bright green, and yellow they chose - require a lot of tinting to create, even as much as 12 ounces of coloring per gallon which is the size of a can of soda. This dilutes the paint so much that the paint becomes very translucent and can require a multitude of coats to cover. To ensure the best coverage and finish without the expense of applying several coats of premium quality custom color, we applied a grey primer as the first coat and then 2 coats of paint over that as you can see in the photos.
Painting this playroom for the Wappingers Falls DirectBuy was a pleasure. The children love the vibrant colors and so do we!
